A rare 18th century Chinese vase sold at auction
in Yorkshire for almost £1m last week. The vase which was valued at £10,000 to
£15,000 turned out to be an extremely rare ornament which was made for a
Chinese emperor in around 1730.
The vase had been kept in a house in North Yorkshire for 45
years and the owner had no idea of its value.
Stories like this demonstrate the importance of storing your
art pieces securely, as you never know the real value of your collection!
